COVID-19 is a serious global crisis, and we take it that way. We are committed to enhanced cleaning measures between stays and during your visit to protect the health and safety of our guests. We also leave a minimum 24-hour gap between guest visits to the property.
We ensure that our cleaning teams follow all CDC recommended COVID-19 Â cleaning protocols, and have a custom cleaning checklist that will be completed and left on site for you to review upon check-in. We also adhere to all of AirBNB’s cleaning guidelines and it’s 5-step enhanced cleaning measures.

Guest Etiquette
We believe that we are all in this pandemic together and that we each need to do our best to keep the community safe while respecting and caring for others. We ask that whenever a member of our team is on site that you wear a mask to protect them and yourself, but otherwise you are free to use the property mask-free as regional guidlines permit.Â
You are renting a private residence for your use only, we are not a hotel or a bed-and-breakfast. There are no on-site staff or unrelated guests to be mindful of, and you should feel free to live in the space as if it were your own home. After all, it is your exclusive-use vacation rental home, and we want you to enjoy your stay!
For contact tracing purposes we require that all guests staying at the property be declared when you book, and that any day visitors be registered in our virtual guest book.
Some local courtesies and protocols to be aware of;
- Masks are not required on streets but you will see that most locals wear them, and it is VERY appreciated if you do the same.
- Yucatan is a very safe state, but local officials may from time to time declare restrictions and service closures, you can see the current travel advisories at the US government website.
- You will find that most stores and restaurants will take your temperature and offer you hand sanitizer upon entry, some may also require you to provide contact tracing info.
Ventilation Policy
When cleaning the property between guest visits, our cleaning crew open up all windows and turn on all fans to maximize air exchange. The crew members have been vaccinated, and wear masks and gloves while on site. We disinfect all air-conditioning units, remotes, and wall switches along with all other high-touch surfaces.Â
Cleaning Policy
Our cleaning standards require removing dust and dirt from surfaces, such as floors and countertops, using disinfectants specifically approved for use against COVID-19. All areas are swept, dusted, vacuumed, or mopped prior to disinfection. Dishes and linens are washed on the highest heat settings between guests.
Sanitization Policy
Our cleaning crew sanitizes the space using chemicals that are proven to reduce bacteria on surfaces such as doorknobs and TV remotes. We spray high-touch surfaces in each room with an approved disinfectant spray, we let it stand for the specified length of time on the product label, and we either wipe or allow the surface to air-dry as per manufacturer requirements.
Mask & Vaccine Policy
We do not require guests to be vaccinated; we defer to the Mexican government and its visitor requirements. We do require guests to wear masks whenever a member of our team is on-site, and all our team members are vaccinated according to local regulations.
